Here we go once again
We hear their stomping hooves
Around, there is nothing
Tales of the blackened door
The horrors lurk inside
With a destructive mind

Moonlight fled on hopes back
All who lived fell to death
The few stood the storms head
No mortal was the same
The gods praised their names
Besting what was brought forth
The Moonlight Drifters fought the war
The light seemed out of reach
The world brought to their knees
A dread, hunger for blood
Upon the chilling air
Whispers speaking plaques
A force beyond their thought
Breaking the wicked bane
Holy water on dark flame
Killing all which they came
Etched a dent in their blades
No mortal was the same
The gods praised their names
Besting what was brought forth
The Moonlight Drifters fought the war
Over the hills
Of bones from loved ones
Upon this day
We fight to our graves
Brothers and sisters
Do not forget this day for it will be our last
But let our actions speak for those whom could not
So that one day we can live again
